Aging Skin

The fast-paced life in today’s society accelerates ageing of the skin, resulting in reduced skin elasticity, wrinkles, dryness, dullness. In addition, research has shown that skin will tend to lose its elasticity from 20 years of age onwards. Between 30 to 50 years of age, wrinkles, dark spots and pigmentation are more obvious. Other environmental factors such as wind and rain, sun, alcohol and smoking also accelerate the ageing process. Physical factors like cellular metabolism, amount of oxygen in cells are affected by free radicals that result in ageing.

For the product to achieve a true anti-ageing effect, the plant extracts used must be able to have anti-oxidation properties, superoxide dismutase (SOD), which performs a metabolic role in moisturizing and sun protection, slowing down the ageing process.

Herbs used in Herd de Orient’s products include Astragalus Membranaceus, licorice root, Centella Asiatica, wolfberry fruit, turmeric, ginseng, etc., which provide many benefits.

For young, radiant looking skin, in addition to a balanced diet, adequate exercise, sufficient rest and attention to health, it is also essential to pay attention to overall skin care. Ensuring that skin is properly cleansed is important. For more thorough care other than cleansing the face, one can apply toner, moisturizer and essence etc.
